Episode 5 – Fated by the Moon
Wren ran through the forest, her heart pounding as she replayed everything that had happened. Alpha Hunter Silver’s words refused to leave her mind.
Mate.
The word felt impossible.
No one had ever looked at her the way Hunter had. No one had ever treated her with kindness. To her family, she was a burden. To the pack, she was a cursed mute with no wolf. How could someone as powerful as Hunter possibly be destined for someone like her?
Meanwhile, Hunter stood silently in the clearing, the scent of freshly baked cake lingering in the air.
“What was that smell?” his Beta, Clay, asked.
Hunter’s lips curved slightly. “Cake.”
It was such a simple scent, yet it stirred something deep inside him. For years, he had lived under a terrible curse, one that threatened to consume him every time he shifted. He had almost given up hope of ever being free.
Then he met her.
The shy girl with beautiful eyes.
The girl who couldn’t speak.
The girl who had captured his attention in an instant.
As Hunter watched Wren disappear into the distance, realization settled over him like moonlight.
She was his mate.
And more importantly, she might be the key to breaking the curse that had haunted him for years.
“Prepare the engagement gifts,” Hunter ordered.
Clay blinked in shock. “An engagement offering?”
Hunter’s expression remained firm.
“Wren Wolfhart of Wolfhart Castle is my mate.”
For the first time in a long time, hope flickered in his eyes.
If fate had brought them together, perhaps their meeting wasn’t an accident at all.
Perhaps two cursed souls had finally found the person destined to save them.
