Fated to My Forbidden Alpha – Chapter 18
The air inside Blood Moon Manor felt different after Selene’s confrontation in the hallway.
Heavier.
Like something unseen had awakened.
Selene sat alone in the infirmary again, but this time she wasn’t resting.
She was waiting.
For answers.
For truth.
For something she could no longer ignore.
The silver bracelet still lay on the table beside her.
Ethel had left it there.
As if leaving it closer to her would make the truth easier to accept.
Selene stared at it.
Her chest tightened.
“Lyla…”
Her wolf answered immediately.
“I know.”
“You know what?”
A pause.
Then Lyla spoke more carefully than ever before.
“That bracelet… belongs to you.”
Selene shook her head.
“No. That’s impossible. I’ve been here since I was a child.”
“You were not born here.”
Selene froze.
The room suddenly felt colder.
“What are you saying?”
Lyla hesitated.
Then—
“You were taken.”
Silence.
The words didn’t make sense.
And yet…
Some part of her didn’t reject them.
Not fully.
At that moment, outside the infirmary, three powerful presences converged.
Jackson.
Alexander.
Ethel.
None of them spoke at first.
Because all three of them were feeling the same thing.
The bond inside Selene was unstable.
And awakening.
Jackson finally broke the silence.
“This is going too far.”
His voice was low.
Controlled.
Dangerous.
Alexander didn’t look at him.
“Then explain it.”
Jackson frowned.
“Explain what?”
“The reaction.”
Alexander’s golden eyes shifted toward the infirmary door.
“Your mate bond. My bond. And whatever is happening to her bloodline.”
Silence.
Ethel stepped forward slowly.
“She is not just a servant.”
Jackson’s jaw tightened.
“She is mine.”
The words came out instinctively.
Possessively.
Alexander’s gaze sharpened slightly.
“Are you certain?”
The question struck deeper than intended.
Because Jackson wasn’t certain anymore.
Not completely.
Inside the infirmary, Selene suddenly gasped.
A violent pulse shot through her chest.
She grabbed the table.
“Lyla!”
Her wolf reacted instantly.
“It’s starting.”
“What is starting?!”
Before Lyla could answer—
The silver bracelet on the table began to glow faintly.
Selene froze.
The light spread across the metal like liquid moonlight.
Her breath hitched.
“This… this isn’t normal…”
“No,” Lyla whispered.
“It’s awakening.”
Outside, all three Alphas felt it at the same time.
The bond.
It surged.
Sharp.
Uncontrolled.
Powerful enough to make the corridor shake.
Luke stumbled back.
Drake widened his eyes.
“This is insane…”
Ethel’s voice broke slightly.
“She’s remembering.”
Jackson stepped forward instantly.
“No.”
Alexander reacted at the same time.
“Something is activating inside her.”
Two Alphas moved toward the door.
But Ethel raised a hand.
“Stop.”
Both paused.
For the first time, Ethel’s voice carried authority stronger than theirs.
“If you open that door now…”
His gaze darkened.
“You may destroy what is left of her mind.”
Silence.
Jackson clenched his fists.
“What are you talking about?”
Ethel looked at him.
“She is not fully awakened.”
Alexander narrowed his eyes.
“Then what is she?”
Ethel slowly exhaled.
“The truth.”
Inside the room, Selene collapsed to her knees.
The pain wasn’t physical.
It was deeper.
Like something inside her was cracking open.
Memories flickered.
A forest.
A woman holding a child.
A silver moon pendant.
A scream.
Then darkness.
Selene gasped.
“No… no…”
Lyla’s voice was urgent now.
“Selene, listen to me.”
“What is happening to me?!”
“You are not what they told you.”
Selene shook her head violently.
“I’m Selene… I’m a servant… I—”
“NO.”
Lyla’s voice cut through everything.
“You are Bloodwind.”
The word hit like thunder.
Selene froze.
Outside, Ethel heard it through the door.
His eyes widened.
Because she had said it.
Even if no one else heard it clearly…
He heard it.
Bloodwind.
His lost bloodline.
His daughter’s true legacy.
Jackson suddenly slammed his hand against the door.
“I don’t care what she is—she is my mate!”
Alexander turned sharply.
“That may not be true anymore.”
Jackson growled.
“Don’t you dare—”
Ethel interrupted.
“Both of you are wrong.”
Silence.
Ethel’s voice softened.
“She is not something you can claim.”
He stepped closer to the door.
“She is something you need to understand.”
Inside, Selene’s scream echoed once more.
The bracelet exploded in silver light.
And for the first time—
Her wolf didn’t just speak.
It fully awakened.
A new voice entered her mind.
Stronger.
Ancient.
Powerful.
Not Lyla.
Something older.
Something buried.
Something that had been waiting for fifteen years.
“Selene…”
The voice whispered.
“Welcome back.”
And outside the door—
Three Alphas realized the truth was no longer hidden.
It was alive.
