Pregnant and Spoiled by the Billionaire — Episode 21

The word daddy seemed to remain in the kitchen after the security screen fell silent. Amelia instinctively stepped away from Leo, the warmth of their kiss replaced by a question neither had expected. The little boy downstairs looked old enough to make Jenny’s claim possible, and the birth certificate in her hand transformed an interruption into a threat to everything Amelia had begun to trust.

Leo’s expression hardened when he recognized the woman. “Jenny and I ended six years ago,” he said. “She cheated on me. I haven’t seen her since, and she never told me she was pregnant.” His certainty should have reassured Amelia, but he had also been certain she wanted three million dollars when she asked for three thousand.

“You should speak to her,” Amelia replied. She hated how calm she sounded. Somewhere beneath the shock, jealousy was opening an old wound—the fear that Leo cared for her only because she carried his child. If he already had a son, then duty no longer made her unique.

Leo instructed security to bring Jenny and Tommy upstairs but remain nearby. When the elevator opened, Tommy ran into the penthouse and threw his arms around Leo’s legs with practiced desperation. “Daddy, I missed you,” he said, although they had never met.

Leo crouched so he would not tower over the child. “Tommy, I’m Leo. You don’t know me yet.” His tone was gentle but precise. “Who told you I was your father?” Tommy looked toward Jenny before answering that his mother had shown him photographs and promised Leo wanted them to become a family.

Jenny swept forward in an expensive coat that could not conceal the strain beneath her polished appearance. She apologized for keeping Tommy secret and said fear had driven her away after their breakup. Now the boy needed a father, and she believed Leo deserved the chance to know his son.

“You were sleeping with someone else while we were together,” Leo reminded her. “That is why I have no reason to accept this without proof.” Jenny’s mouth tightened, but she quickly turned wounded eyes toward Amelia. “And you accepted her pregnancy without proof?”

Amelia felt the accusation land, but Leo answered before doubt could take root. “Amelia never asked me to believe her for money. She came to tell me the truth after returning everything I gave her. Do not compare her to you.”

Jenny studied Amelia with open calculation. Her gaze settled on the loose sweater hiding the slight curve of pregnancy, then moved to the signs that Amelia lived there. “So this is why you won’t welcome your own son,” she said. “A college girl got pregnant, and suddenly the past is inconvenient.”

“Tommy is not inconvenient,” Amelia said. The boy flinched at the tension, and her anger softened. “If he is Leo’s child, he deserves the truth and a father who takes responsibility. None of this is his fault.”

Her fairness appeared to unsettle Jenny more than hostility would have. “How noble,” she replied. “But you should understand that Leo and I had a real relationship. You had one night.” The cruelty was quiet and expertly aimed.

Amelia looked at Leo, waiting for him to define what existed between them. He had called her his fiancée in public and kissed her in private, yet they had never named the fragile connection growing around their child. His hesitation lasted only a heartbeat, but Jenny saw it.

“Amelia and I are building a life together,” Leo said. “You do not get to enter my home and diminish her place in it.” He ordered a legally supervised paternity test and promised that if Tommy was his son, he would provide care, time, and recognition without reviving a relationship that had ended six years earlier.

Jenny refused to surrender the birth certificate, claiming she feared Preston lawyers would bury the truth. Leo told Derek to arrange testing through an independent laboratory selected by both sides. His careful fairness kept the confrontation from becoming another exercise of power, but it also made the claim feel terrifyingly possible.

Tommy began to cry. “Are you going to forget me because you have a new baby?” he asked. The sentence sounded too polished for a five-year-old. Leo’s eyes narrowed, though he still knelt and assured the boy that no child would be punished for an adult’s choices.

Tommy crossed the room and clutched Amelia’s hand. “Please give me back my daddy,” he begged. “Mommy and I need him.” Amelia gently tried to free herself, overwhelmed by the guilt being placed in her palm.

Jenny watched rather than comforting her son. The cold assessment in her eyes convinced Amelia that the child was being used, but recognizing manipulation did not make Tommy’s tears less real. She crouched and told him no one could take a loving parent away from him, then asked him to wait until the adults learned the truth.

Leo asked security to escort Jenny and Tommy to a hotel suite while the test was arranged. Jenny protested that a father would not send his son away, then announced that she and Tommy had nowhere else to live. Her business had failed, her accounts were frozen, and she claimed returning to Leo was their only option.

Amelia heard the echo of her own arrival: pregnant, endangered, and dependent on a man whose money could solve every practical problem. The resemblance frightened her even though their motives differed. She told Leo she needed air and walked toward the terrace before emotion could expose her.

Behind her, Jenny smiled as though Amelia’s retreat were the first victory. “Let her go,” she murmured. “You’re only with her because she’s pregnant. Now that you have Tommy and me, what use is she?” Leo turned with fury in his eyes, but before he could answer, Tommy screamed from the hall—and Amelia heard the unmistakable sound of a body striking the marble floor.
