The Alpha Queen Returns – Chapter 11
Jessica’s hands refused to stop shaking.
The recording crystal slipped from her fingers and landed softly on the table.
Silence filled the clinic.
No one dared to speak.
Every cruel word Caroline had endured echoed endlessly through Jessica’s mind.
“You’re nothing but a slave in this pack.”
“If you tell your mother, we’ll kill her.”
“Mom… please save me.”
Jessica slowly closed her eyes.
For years, she had believed she was protecting her daughter.
Instead…
She had delivered Caroline into hell with her own hands.
A single tear rolled down her cheek before her expression turned frighteningly calm.
“Where is she?”
The question was quiet.
Too quiet.
Sarabeth answered immediately.
“At Ambassador Ansel’s welcome banquet.”
Jessica looked up sharply.
“What?”
Mina stepped forward.
“Rex Russo has taken Princess Caroline there.”
“We believe he’s presenting her to Alpha Hunter in exchange for political influence.”
Jessica’s pupils contracted.
“What did you say?”
Sarabeth continued grimly.
“We also intercepted evidence that the Russo family has been working with Lord Killian Darkmoon.”
“The banquet may be part of a larger conspiracy.”
Jessica’s aura erupted without warning.
The walls of the clinic trembled.
Medicine bottles shattered across the shelves.
Outside, every wolf within several miles instinctively dropped to one knee.
The Alpha Queen’s power had awakened.
For the first time in years.
“I trusted them…”
Jessica whispered.
“I trusted all of them.”
She turned toward Ansel.
“Did you investigate the Russo family before recommending them?”
Ansel lowered his head in shame.
“I did, Your Majesty.”
“They had an excellent reputation at the time.”
“They hid their true nature from everyone.”
Jessica didn’t blame him.
The fault was hers.
She had been so desperate to give Caroline an ordinary childhood that she had ignored every warning.
Never again.
She wiped away the last trace of tears.
“The Queen who disappeared today…”
Her voice became ice cold.
“…is dead.”
Sarabeth immediately understood.
Jessica wasn’t speaking as a mother anymore.
She was speaking as the ruler of the wolf kingdom.
“General Sarabeth.”
“Yes, My Queen.”
“Seal every road leading away from the banquet.”
“It will be done.”
“Mina.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
“Bring every piece of evidence linking the Russo family to Darkmoon.”
“I want every traitor exposed tonight.”
Mina saluted immediately.
“At once.”
Jessica finally turned toward Ansel.
“Summon every Council elder.”
Ansel looked surprised.
“Tonight?”
“Now.”
Her golden eyes glowed with terrifying authority.
“No one leaves that banquet until I arrive.”
Meanwhile…
The welcome banquet was in full swing.
Music echoed through the grand hall as nobles laughed and toasted one another.
No one noticed Caroline sitting alone in a private room.
The drug in her body continued to cloud her thoughts.
She weakly pulled at the locked door.
“Please…”
“I want to go home.”
No answer came.
Outside the room, Rex stood beside Alpha Hunter with a confident smile.
“I hope she’s to your liking.”
Hunter swirled the wine in his glass.
“You’ve certainly brought me an interesting gift.”
Rex grinned.
“I always keep my promises.”
Hunter glanced toward the closed door.
“Once the banquet ends…”
“I’ll decide what to do with her.”
Rex’s smile widened.
Everything was going according to plan.
Or so he believed.
Far outside the estate, dozens of black military vehicles raced through the night.
Wolf soldiers filled every seat.
General Sarabeth led the convoy.
Behind her came the elite Royal Guard.
And at the center rode Jessica herself.
Gone was the gentle healer in simple clothes.
She now wore the black-and-silver armor of the Alpha Queen.
A silver crown rested upon her head.
The legendary ruler had returned.
Jessica stared through the windshield toward the brightly lit banquet hall in the distance.
Her voice carried the calm certainty of a coming storm.
“They laid a hand on my daughter.”
The soldiers remained silent.
“They betrayed the kingdom.”
No one questioned her.
“They chose their own fate.”
Her golden wolf aura burst into the night sky, illuminating the clouds like lightning.
Inside the banquet hall, dozens of powerful Alphas suddenly froze.
Every instinct screamed the same terrifying warning.
The Alpha Queen… had returned.
