The Cursed Alpha’s Mute Bride Episode 14

Chapter 14 – The Forgotten Heir

The ancient parchment was carefully unrolled across Hunter’s desk.

Every pair of eyes in the hall fixed on the faded ink and the unmistakable seal of the late Alpha of the Wolfhart Pack.

The lead envoy cleared his throat.

“This is the final will of Alpha Aldric Wolfhart.”

Hunter remained silent, his sharp gaze never leaving the document.

The envoy began to read.

“To my beloved daughter, Wren Wolfhart… should anything happen to me, she alone shall inherit my personal estate and the Moonstone Amulet that has protected our bloodline for generations.”

A murmur swept through the hall.

Wren stared at the parchment, stunned.

Her father… had left something for her?

The envoy continued.

“Until Wren comes of age, the amulet shall remain hidden. Whoever attempts to seize her inheritance through deceit shall answer before the Moon Goddess herself.”

Hunter slowly lifted his eyes.

“So Gertrude knew.”

The envoy hesitated before nodding.

“The former Luna was appointed only as temporary guardian.”

“She was never meant to rule permanently.”

Everything suddenly made sense.

The years of abuse.

The curse.

The missing wolf.

If Wren remained powerless, she could never challenge Gertrude’s authority or claim what was rightfully hers.

Hunter’s jaw tightened.

“They destroyed her life… for an inheritance.”

Standing nearby, Wren’s hands trembled.

All these years, she had believed her father abandoned her.

Instead, he had tried to protect her until his final breath.

Tears blurred her vision.

Hunter gently placed a reassuring hand over hers.

“Your father never stopped loving you.”

Before Wren could process the revelation, another guard rushed into the chamber.

“Alpha!”

“We’ve received urgent news from the Wolfhart border.”

“What is it?” Hunter asked.

“The Moonstone Amulet…”

The guard swallowed hard.

“It’s gone.”

The hall erupted in shock.

If the legendary heirloom had been stolen, then someone had already begun moving against Wren’s rightful claim.

Hunter’s expression turned icy.

“This was never about bringing Wren home.”

“It was about making sure the true heir never reclaimed what belongs to her.”

As thunder rolled over the mountains, Hunter made a silent vow.

He would recover the Moonstone Amulet.

And when the truth reached the Wolfhart Pack, Gertrude’s reign would finally come to an end.
