Episode 1 – The Cursed Mute
The grand hall sparkled with golden lights, filled with the chatter and laughter of pack members celebrating Anneliese Wolfhart’s engagement. In the corner, Wren Wolfhart wiped her flour-dusted hands nervously, staring at the cake she had spent the entire night crafting. Pride and hope mixed in her chest—this was her gift to her sister.
But Anneliese’s laugh cut through the air like a knife. “Don’t tell me that’s the cake,” she sneered, eyes narrowing. “Goddess, I knew you were cursed mute, but are you blind too?”
Wren’s stomach sank. She had tried so hard… but no one ever noticed.
Her stepmother, Gertrude Wolfhart, stepped forward, a cruel smile tugging at her lips. “I really thought I did a good job,” Wren whispered, barely audible. Gertrude’s voice boomed over the room. “Clean yourself up, you’re disgusting. Always blamed for everything, aren’t you?”
“You’re a mute, ugly, useless werewolf,” Gertrude spat, circling her like a predator. “No pack would take you. No one will ever want you as a mate. You’re lucky we even let you cook for us.”
Wren’s hands trembled. The whispers of the pack seemed to echo Gertrude’s words, making her feel smaller with every syllable. Was she truly cursed? Why did her father’s bloodline abandon her?
Silently, she straightened her shoulders. Even if the world saw her as a failure, Wren refused to let their scorn define her. Somewhere beneath the humiliation and the curse, a spark of defiance began to burn.
The night was supposed to celebrate Anneliese’s happiness. But for Wren Wolfhart, it marked the beginning of a journey she never asked for—one that would uncover secrets, curses, and a power even she didn’t know she held.
