Episode 2 – The Curse and the Creek
Wren’s world had narrowed to a single, humiliating task: go to the creek and clean herself. The nearest water was deep in Alpha Hunter Silver’s territory—rumors said he was a ruthless predator, feasting on virgins. Every step toward the forest made Wren’s heart pound, her pulse echoing the fear she could not voice.
Her stepmother Gertrude’s cruel laughter still haunted her. “Unlike Anneliese, who has suitors lining up, you… you’re nothing. And now, off to the creek. Don’t sully our house with your mess any further.”
Wren’s hands shook as she approached the creek. Alone. Exposed. Vulnerable.
And then the truth hit her like ice: Gertrude was the one who had cursed her. She could only be freed if someone truly loved her, whispered “I love you.” But who could ever say that? Who would ever see past the mute, powerless girl everyone scorned?
