Episode 6 – Revelations and Defiance
The hall glittered with gold and whispers of congratulations. “Congratulations on your engagement,” a guest murmured. “The Alpha’s daughter… and our strongest warrior.”
Wren stood at the edge, eyes burning with suppressed fury. Around her, the pack murmured about her—the “wolfless girl,” the cursed mute who could never belong. Nikolaus’s sneer cut through the air. “Isn’t she trying to ruin Anneliese’s engagement party? Jealous, because she’ll never have one?”
Her heart ached, but this time, Wren refused to be silent. The curse had made her voiceless, but not powerless. She remembered the forest, the assault, the fear—but also Hunter. Her mate.
Nikolaus raised his voice, pointing an accusing finger. “You’re always trying to blame someone else for your shortcomings!”
Wren’s hand trembled, but she took a deep breath. She would let the pack see the truth. With the courage only desperation could summon, she stepped forward, eyes blazing.
“No,” she thought. “I won’t let him get away with this.”
The memory of the woods came alive—the way Nikolaus had tried to force himself on her. Pain. Fear. Rage. She held it all, letting it give her strength.
Even cursed, even mute, Wren realized that her silence had a voice of its own. And now, the pack would finally hear her.
Somewhere in the crowd, Hunter’s gaze found her, unwavering. In that moment, Wren understood: together, they might finally break their curses.
