Fated to My Forbidden Alpha – Chapter 25
The moment Ethel’s lips moved to speak the name—
The entire room seemed to hold its breath.
Jackson.
Alexander.
Selene.
Even the guards outside the corridor felt the pressure change.
Ethel looked at all of them.
And said it.
“Lucian Blackthorn.”
Silence.
Not confusion.
Recognition.
Jackson’s expression tightened instantly.
Alexander’s gaze sharpened.
Selene’s breath caught.
The name didn’t feel unfamiliar.
It felt… wrong.
Like something her body remembered before her mind did.
“Lucian Blackthorn…” Jackson repeated slowly.
His wolf growled.
“That name died fifteen years ago.”
Ethel shook his head.
“No.”
His voice was firm now.
“It didn’t die.”
“It hid inside Blood Moon.”
The words hit like a thunderclap.
Luke stepped forward immediately.
“That’s impossible.”
Ethel turned toward him.
“Is it?”
He opened the file again.
Trembling slightly now.
“This is the Alpha who ordered the Bloodwind child erased.”
A pause.
Then—
“And the same Alpha who authorized her identity replacement inside Blood Moon territory.”
The room froze completely.
Even Jackson’s aura flickered.
Because now—
This wasn’t just betrayal.
It was internal corruption at Alpha level.
Selene suddenly felt a sharp pulse inside her chest.
She stumbled.
Lyla reacted immediately.
“Selene—don’t lose control.”
“I’m not—”
But she was.
Because the name had triggered something.
A sealed memory trying to break free.
A face.
A voice.
A command.
“Erase her existence.”
Selene gasped.
“No…”
Alexander stepped forward instantly.
“She’s destabilizing again.”
Jackson snapped back.
“Stay away from her.”
Alexander didn’t look at him.
“She’s not responding to you anymore.”
The truth landed heavily.
Jackson froze.
Because he knew it was true.
Inside Selene’s mind—
Everything collapsed again.
But this time, it wasn’t fragments.
It was a single memory.
Clear.
Vivid.
Terrifying.
A man standing in a shadowed chamber.
Black cloak.
Cold eyes.
“Bloodline must be removed.”
A child crying in the background.
Selene.
Three years old.
Then—
A second voice.
“Reassign her identity. Make her forget.”
Selene screamed internally.
“I REMEMBER YOU!”
The memory shattered violently.
Silver energy exploded outward.
The entire corridor shook.
Outside, guards fell to their knees.
Luke shouted.
“She’s losing control!”
Ethel stepped forward desperately.
“No—she’s breaking a seal!”
Alexander moved at the same time.
So did Jackson.
But for once—
Neither Alpha was in control of the situation.
Because Selene wasn’t reacting to them anymore.
She was reacting to the past.
The silver crest on Selene’s chest ignited again.
But this time—
It expanded.
Spreading across her skin like living ink.
Bloodwind awakening fully activated.
Her wolf Lyla merged deeper.
And the ancient voice returned.
“This is him.”
Selene gasped.
“Lucian…?”
“Yes.”
The voice confirmed.
“The one who erased you.”
Selene’s eyes snapped open.
Fully silver.
No hesitation.
No fear.
Only clarity.
“I will find him.”
Her voice echoed across the manor.
Not as a girl.
Not as a servant.
But as something far more dangerous.
A Bloodwind heir reclaiming her origin.
Jackson stepped forward sharply.
“No. You’re not going anywhere.”
His Alpha aura flared.
But Selene didn’t even look at him.
“You don’t command me anymore.”
The words shattered something inside him.
Alexander narrowed his eyes slightly.
Because he felt it too.
The bond had shifted again.
Selene was no longer reacting to either Alpha.
She was moving beyond both.
Ethel suddenly spoke.
“Selene… Lucian Blackthorn is still alive.”
Silence.
Selene turned her head slowly.
“Where.”
Ethel hesitated.
Then answered.
“Inside Nightwind territory.”
Alexander’s expression changed instantly.
Jackson reacted immediately.
“That’s impossible.”
But Alexander said nothing.
Because something clicked inside his mind.
Lucian Blackthorn.
Nightwind politics.
Hidden influence.
Unstable bonds.
And Selene reacting to both Alphas differently.
This wasn’t coincidence.
This was design.
Suddenly—
A loud explosion echoed from the lower level of the manor.
Guards shouted.
“INTRUDER!”
Luke ran toward the corridor.
“Alpha! Someone breached the outer wall!”
Drake followed him immediately.
“Nightwind forces?”
Luke shook his head.
“No—this is different!”
Another explosion.
Closer.
Selene lifted her head.
Her eyes narrowed.
“Not Nightwind…”
Lyla whispered.
“…Bloodwind enemies.”
Alexander stepped forward instantly.
Jackson moved at the same time.
But Selene raised her hand.
Both stopped.
For the first time—
She was in control.
“I will handle this.”
Jackson froze.
“You’re not ready.”
Selene looked at him calmly.
“I’ve been ready for fifteen years.”
Then she turned toward Alexander.
“And I will not hide anymore.”
A pause.
Then—
Selene walked forward alone.
Toward the explosion.
Toward the truth.
Toward Lucian Blackthorn.
And behind her—
Three Alphas realized the same thing at the same time:
They were no longer protecting her.
They were trying to keep up with her.
