“Or maybe…”
She paused.
The auditorium became silent again.
“…you’re just a big fat liar.”
Gasps erupted throughout the room.
“Oh my God.”
“She didn’t.”
“She actually said it.”
Students stared in shock.
Nobody had ever challenged Candice this directly before.

Candice looked horrified.
At least, she pretended to.
The performance was award-worthy.
Her eyes widened.
Her lips trembled.

And the crowd immediately fell for it.
Before Hailey could say another word, Vice Principal Foster stepped forward.
His face was red with anger.
“How dare you!”
The microphone amplified every word.
